Abolishing property taxes would wipe out more than half of all library funding, leaving them with no way to replace the revenue on their own, and almost certainly resulting in:
Closed branches
Reduced hours & staffing
Fewer programs for literacy, tutoring, summer learning, and career coaching
Fewer workforce development programs
Reduced access to high-speed internet
Reduced services for seniors, including guidance for applying for Medicare and Social Security, book/video delivery for homebound seniors, and technology assistance/training
